Meet Our Founders

Sabina Mensah

Co-Founder & Executive Director

Sabina Mensah is a PhD Candidate in Environmental Studies at the University of Oregon, United States, where her research focuses on community development, food systems, and social equity. She holds a Master of Environmental Management from Massey University, New Zealand, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. With more than 10 years of professional experience in education, community development, research, and project management, she has worked across academia, nonprofit development, and community-based initiatives in Ghana and the United States.

Throughout her career, Sabina has led and supported development initiatives that have benefited thousands of farming households across Ghana and Ivory Coast, working closely with communities to improve livelihoods and access to resources. She has also served as an educator and continues to support student learning through her teaching and mentoring roles at the University of Oregon.

Her commitment to educational equity and community development inspired the creation of JustED Foundation. Through the foundation, she works alongside schools, families, and community partners to expand educational opportunities and help children in Ghana's farming communities learn, grow, and thrive.

Bismark Nii Pardie

Co-Founder & Treasurer

Bismark Nii Pardie is a finance and business strategy professional with over 8 years of experience in finance, accounting, business analytics, and organizational strategy. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from North Carolina State University, United States, and a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. He is also a Chartered Accountant whose work has spanned financial management, business intelligence, and agricultural value chain development.

Through his experience with agribusiness organizations, including ECOM Agroindustrial, he has supported initiatives that strengthen agricultural livelihoods and engage farming communities across Ghana. He currently serves as Manager, Accounts Payable and Receivable at Tri-Tech Forensics, where he oversees financial operations, reporting, and process improvement efforts that support organizational performance and growth.

As a co-founder of JustED Foundation, Bismark is committed to expanding educational opportunities for children in Ghana's farming communities. He believes that every child deserves access to quality education and the support needed to develop their potential and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Portia Mensah-Bonsu is a professional agronomist and a passionate advocate for sustainable agriculture, gender equity, and community development. With over 10 years of experience in agriculture, stakeholder engagement, community empowerment, and sales and marketing, she has worked to support farming communities and promote sustainable development initiatives. She holds a Diploma in General Agriculture from Kwadaso College of Agriculture, Ghana, and has furthered her professional development through specialized training in Vertical Farming and Growth Strategies at Humber Polytechnic, Canada. She has also pursued studies in AI Context Engineering, reflecting her commitment to continuous learning and innovation.

Throughout her career, Portia has contributed to agricultural and community development initiatives through her work with organizations including ECOM Agroindustrial. Her experience includes supporting farming communities, promoting climate-smart agricultural practices, strengthening stakeholder engagement, and creating opportunities that improve livelihoods and build local resilience. Her passion for empowering women and supporting vulnerable populations has shaped her commitment to community-centered development.

As a co-founder of JustED Foundation, Portia is dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for children in Ghana's farming communities. She believes that education, mentorship, and community support are essential for helping learners build confidence, develop life skills, and reach their full potential.
