Our Approach

At JustED Foundation, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. Our programs are designed with schools, families, and communities to strengthen foundational literacy, remove barriers to learning, and support the holistic development of children within farming communities in Ghana.

Our approach is guided by evidence, national education priorities, and the lived experiences of the communities we serve.

Our Theory of Change

We believe that when children have access to quality learning materials, supportive teachers, engaged families, and regular opportunities to learn and practice, they build strong literacy skills, grow in confidence, remain engaged in school, and are better prepared to succeed in education and life.

We work alongside schools, families, and communities to reduce barriers to education and create safe, inclusive learning environments where every child can develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to reach their full potential and contribute positively to their communities.

These principles guide every decision we make, from designing programs to partnering with schools and evaluating our impact.

Our Literacy Framework

At JustED Foundation, we believe literacy is the foundation for learning, communication, critical thinking, and lifelong opportunity. Our literacy framework strengthens the knowledge, skills, and confidence children need to succeed in school and beyond.

The framework is built around six interconnected competencies that work together to support children’s literacy development.

We believe meaningful change begins with listening, measuring, and continuously learning.

At JustED Foundation, monitoring, evaluation, and learning are integrated into every stage of our work. We use multiple sources of evidence to understand children's progress, strengthen our programs, and improve the support we provide to schools and communities.

How We Measure Progress

The evidence we collect helps us strengthen our programs, support teachers more effectively, respond to community feedback, and make informed decisions as JustED Foundation grows.

We maintain the relevance, efficacy, and responsiveness of our programs to the needs of the communities we serve by continuously learning from our work.
