PROFILE
Portia Mensah-Bonsu is a professional agronomist and a passionate advocate for sustainable agriculture, gender equity, and community development. With over 10 years of experience in agriculture, stakeholder engagement, community empowerment, and sales and marketing, she has worked to support farming communities and promote sustainable development initiatives. She holds a Diploma in General Agriculture from Kwadaso College of Agriculture, Ghana, and has furthered her professional development through specialized training in Vertical Farming and Growth Strategies at Humber Polytechnic, Canada. She has also pursued studies in AI Context Engineering, reflecting her commitment to continuous learning and innovation.
Throughout her career, Portia has contributed to agricultural and community development initiatives through her work with organizations including ECOM Agroindustrial. Her experience includes supporting farming communities, promoting climate-smart agricultural practices, strengthening stakeholder engagement, and creating opportunities that improve livelihoods and build local resilience. Her passion for empowering women and supporting vulnerable populations has shaped her commitment to community-centered development.
As a Co-Founder of JustED Foundation, Portia is dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for children in farming communities in Ghana. She believes that education, mentorship, and community support are essential for helping learners build confidence, develop life skills, and reach their full potential.
